Courageous, Confident, and Clever
Laura Ingalls Wilder was no stranger to adventure. Her story started when her family moved from the Big Woods of Wisconsin to the prairie lands of Minnesota, and continued through covered wagon journeys, railroad trips, bitterly long winters, teaching jobs in the middle of nowhere, and moving to Missouri with a young daughter before there was anything as convenient as smart phones and GPS to help. And she did it all in a long dress, not jeans! That's icon behavior.
Product Details
Have the best costume that anyone between the banks of Plum Creek and the shores of Silver Lake have ever seen! The long dress zips up the back (no need to fasten hundreds of tiny buttons - you're welcome!) and is made of deep blue fabric printed a pattern of tiny white dots. The bodice is decorated with round brass buttons, and the shoulders and hips feature elegant pleats. All you need to complete your look is a sunbonnet and an ability to drive a team of horses that's pulling a covered wagon. No problem, right?
Into the Unknown West
There's nothing more exciting than exploring a place you've never been before! Bring the pioneering spirit of Laura Ingalls Wilder to life when you dress in an outfit that's similar to one she might have worn on her travels. Perfect for history reenactments, festivals, school events, literary programs, and of course Halloween, the dress may have you feeling as daring and feisty as the real-life heroine who inspired it.
