General Employment QuestionsWhat exactly is FUN.com and what do you do?
We're an e-commerce site - which you've probably figured out by now. We are one of the largest online retailers of exclusive clothing, unique collectibles, and awesome gifts through our main brands of HalloweenCostumes.com and FUN.com that you won't find anywhere else! We get up, we ride scooters, and we sell fun stuff around the world, every single day... and every Halloween, we have such a busy season that we need a lot of help!
We've been a part of the Mankato, Minnesota community in one way or another for over 20 years, we have offices in Colorado, we've just opened a state-of-the art new distribution center in Elsmere Kentucky, and we're always growing by leaps and bounds.
The way we see it, it's our job to put some joy into people's lives through our products and have fun while we're at it too.

Application QuestionsCould I get a paper application instead of filling out the one on the Internet?
All our applications are online. If you require reasonable accommodation during any part of the employment application process, please contact us at hr@fun.com or 507-386-0207, option 2.
If I am interested in more than one of the positions, do I need to fill out a separate application for each? You can apply for all Warehouse Shipping, Inventory, and Overstock Puller positions on this one application. Our other Seasonal and Non-Seasonal positions are listed at https://fun.com/careers
When will I have my interview?Guess what? Your application was your interview! Now just sit back and we'll get in contact with you.
When will I hear back about my application? It depends on your availability and when you submit your application. If you submit an application in July, it may be a few weeks before we call you. Early in Season, we concentrate on applicants with daytime availability. Our hours of operation usually begin to expand in late August and September. That's when we start calling people with evening and weekend availability.
Will I be automatically disqualified if I have a criminal history?Absolutely not. A conviction does not automatically disqualify an applicant from employment. The Company makes an individualized assessment of each applicant's applicable history (to the extent permissible by law and state specific regulations) based upon factors such as the nature of the offense/conduct, the nature of the position for which an applicant is being considered, when the offence/conduct occurred and the applicant's age at that time, the facts surrounding the offense/conduct, the number of offenses for which the applicant was convicted, the applicant's employment history prior to and subsequent to the offense/conduct, rehabilitation efforts, and any federal, state, or local government prohibitions on employing individuals convicted of a particular offense/conduct.
Returning Employee QuestionsI worked here previously. Do I have to put in a new application?
Yes. Yes, you do.
Do I have to be in the same department this year? You do not. That being said, FUN.com reserves final decision on placement in a department.
I've been here for like, 3 seasons already, do I have to do orientation and training again? You sure do! Things change every season and it's always good to have a refresher on the basics of a position after being gone for some period of time.
I was told to come for orientation. What exactly does that mean?First of all: Welcome Aboard! We're excited to have you be part of the FUN.com Team!
During orientation you'll finish on-boarding paperwork, learn about FUN.com's Team Member expectations, and schedule your availability and your training day.
Before your orientation day, you'll receive two emails: One with your username, and the other with your password and a link to the online new-hire paperwork. You can do this paperwork ahead-of-time at home, or you can complete it when you come in for orientation.
When you come to the building for orientation, you will be required to bring proper identification: https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/form-i-9-acceptable-documents
The documents that you bring in must be unexpired and original. You cannot bring a photograph or a photocopy of any of the required IDs.
Can I just bring my documents to you after my first day?No.
What if I don't have access to those documents right now or if they're expired?Visit the appropriate offices to get new or replacement copies of your missing documents.
You may not be able to get a replacement for lot of documents the same day you request them. If you bring in your valid receipt for the document, we can accept that for 90 days. Just be sure that it has been signed by a person from the office from which you requested the document, and you have the original.
Again: no copies or photos.
What if I have to miss my first day orientation/training?We understand that life happens. All we ask is that you give us a call and let us know what's up. We'll work to reschedule your orientation or training as available for a time that's more convenient for you.
By the way, please leave a message if we do not answer. We can't always get to every call right away.
How long is my first day/training?Training times vary by each department and role. You'll have the option to continue working after training is complete.
Training is approximately 3 hours but may vary by department and position.
In addition to the initial training period, you will get hands-on training on more aspects of the position as the season goes on.
What if you didn't answer my question?
