I followed the sizing guide which would have placed me in a size 9, but they were a whole size too big. I was able to exchange my 9 for an 8 and the 8 fits perfectly. I can also say they are waterproof, at least in the rain. I wore them to work when it was pouring down rain and I stayed dry.Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
