Princess Wanted
Gentle lords and ladies! We have a matter of great import to bring to your attention! Our most beloved princess of the realm is... well... retiring. We know. It's a distressing day for all of us. She has reigned with peace and prosperity, making small children laugh, animals come at her beck and call, and all the kingdom happy. But alas, she's moving on to bigger better things, and if we love her, we must let her go.
But the good news is that means we're in the market for a new one! All young ladies of the realm will be considered for the position. The only requisite is that they must be kind of heart and tongue. Beyond that, a talent or two is never frowned upon. Can your princess candidate ride horses? Juggle? Bake a mean pie? Bring them to the castle next week with their resumes and we'll have a fabulous new princess in no-time! Of course, do try and prepare them a little bit. The competition will be brutal. They should put on their best manners. Their best posture. And (probably) their best gown.
Fun Details
As for gowns, we may recommend something like this Medieval Princess Costume. This pink stretch velour dress has elastic at the waist and flowers and curlicues printed along the neckline. The sleeves have ruffles at the shoulders, with long bell-sleeves complete with gold trim. The fabric belt is a woven silver and gold fabric, and the half-crown has ornate detail and jewels (complete with elastic to help it keep from slipping). A gown like this will surely make your princess candidate seem all the more regal.
Long-live the Princess!
Now, remind your little princess-to-be not to get too nervous. Sure the last princess could sing to animals, but that's a skill that can always be taught. Just tell them to be the best them they can be. We're sure the judges will love it.
