Lord of the Rings: Gandalf Staff

In the lore of Lord of the Rings, the staves of the Istari are the conduits of their power and symbols of their rank, as well as physical tools for such mundane things as hiking the peaks of Haradros and fighting goblins in the depths of Khazad-dum. This particular staff is a replica of the one held by Gandalf the Grey. That staff was used for hundreds of years before being lost in Moria when Gandalf fought the Balrog Durin’s Bane. It had served faithfully and it was fitting that such a tool be lost in the fires of one of Morgoth’s greatest servants, a being matched in rank and power by Gandalf himself, a fallen maia of fire.

We here at Fun.com have done our best to reproduce this staff and we think we’ve achieved that, even with some very minimal improvements! The shape, color, and dimensions (54”) of the staff are the same as those of the actual staff carried by Gandalf, but the material has been improved from wood to plastic. This is much lighter and has less heft than Gandalf’s staff, which is fitting since we are mortals and not magic-wielding wizards!
