When they cast for the role of Princess Leia, no simple actress would do. They needed someone worthy of title of Space Princess. Someone sharp, authoritative. Someone with attitude and power. Which is exactly why they cast Carrie Fischer.
Carrie Fischer as Princess Leia set the standard for space royalty. She was strong. Determined. Proud. And of course, not a little sarcastic, which we think every space princess should be (one must have a good humor when dealing with scoundrels and ruffians). It should come to no surprise then that Princess Leia was one of our favorite Star Wars characters.
The best part about Princess Leia? No fear. She did what needed to be done, despite the dangers and anyone else's opinions. Whether it was running secret plans to a Jedi, helping organize the Rebel Alliance, or telling off Darth Vader himself, this girl has got moxy. Which is good. One needs quite a bit of bravery to help save the galaxy.
So if you feel like you've got what it takes to be a space princess, or at least dress like her, then try this Deluxe Princess Leia Costume. It's a 100% stretch polyester dress with hood and bell sleeves in a glittery white. - Worth it!Submitted: October 2, 2017Reviewed By: Anonymous | October 2, 2017I got this in the 2x size because I wanted it to be loose like in the movie. I’m 5’6”, about size 12, and it looks great. I probably would have been ok with the xl, but I’m glad I got the 2x. The belt is a bit too big, but that’s easy to manage. It really looks right, like the movie. It is slightly see through, so I plan to wear a white shirt and leggings underneath. The wig is acceptable, but I am not planning to use the wig. Delivery time was great. This is also the only place I could find this in the 2x. I also like that it isn’t a sexy version of the costume. Hard to find!
