Dungeons & Dragons Mini Backpacks

Written by

We recently launched two new Dungeons & Dragons mini backpacks, one with the D&D Ampersand logo and one with a fiery red dragon. As a long-time player, I love the designs and I'm so happy that we're making our own exclusive Dungeons & Dragons products. If you're into D&D and geek-chic backpacks, I'm sure you'll love them, too!

But we're going in a different direction with this blog. When I saw these bags, my first thought was an exciting function that might appeal to all Dungeons & Dragons players, even those who fall outside the target market for mini backpacks—like me. You see, I'm a big guy who carries plenty of stuff for game night: a full-size laptop and charger, DM screen, folders with handouts, dozens of minis, and so on. But I could still use a mini backpack for something else—which I'll get to in a moment, because first we should take a closer look at these bags!

Alright, so my first thought when I saw these backpacks was to turn them into dice storage. If you're like me, you've got many sets of dice. We're talking a lot of dice. Just...so many dice. Some of them get used regularly but plenty don't. (Most are waiting for the perfect character, but sure, a few sets are in time-out for poor performance. Then there are the sentimental dice, the dice that look pretty but are difficult to read at the table, etc. Please don't dice shame.) At approximately 8" x 10" x 5" (that's 400 cubic inches or about 6.5 liters), each of these mini backpacks can hold dozens of sets of dice. And they're bags (clearly), so they're easy enough to bring to game night or keep in your vehicle for dice emergencies—because you never know when last-minute gaming will happen.

Of course, if you are into mini backpacks, you'll find endless uses for these bags! They're geek chic bags for your everyday stuff, or an alternative to a purse. You could use them specifically for your Dungeons & Dragons gear: dice, pencil and paper or a tablet, miniature, snacks, and so on. They're also a great themed swag bag for trips to the game store or conventions. And yes, you could use them for dice storage as well—but then you'd probably want to get both bags!

Let us know what you think of the backpacks, and how you would use them! Also be sure to explore all of our Dungeons & Dragons gifts—and come back soon for more exclusive products!
