How to Wrap a Really Big Box
Kids' Batman Tent | Inflatable Unicorn Decoration | Cloud Rocker |
There is always that one box that's just a little too big to wrap in one solid go! We feel so defeated when trying to wrap a large gift with wrapping paper that's not big enough to fit around the box. (You can imagine the creative language used in the process.) Many of these items fall under home décor items and decorations. We have found that using two different styles of wrapping paper and some ribbon makes it easier to wrap a large box. (And it also gives it an elegant look!) Start with a fun, patterned wrapping paper for the bottom half of the box or as far up the wrapping paper will reach. After securing the paper to the box, fold the ends in the classic triangle folding method on one side of the box. Repeat the process with a matching solid-colored wrapping paper on the opposite end of the box. Secure a thick ribbon and form your best decorative bow along the seam where the two papers meet.
Wrapping a Stuffed Animal

Wrapping an oddly shaped gift can be difficult for anyone, but we have found that making a wrapping paper bag is the easiest method. Start by measuring your wrapping paper to your stuffed animal, making sure to have enough paper to overlap slightly. After this, remove the stuffed animal, crease each side of the paper to meet in the middle (overlapping slightly), and tape it together. Fold the bottom up, crease the sides, open the bottom, and push the sides in to meet in the middle. This will create creases shaped like triangles. Then, fold the top and bottom inward and secure them with tape, making a bag bottom. Insert your stuffed animal into the bag. Remove excess wrapping paper, leaving enough to fold down twice, and secure it with tape. Add a decorative bow or ribbon, and call it a day.
How to Wrap a Rolled Blanket (or any Cylindrical Object!)
Friends Water Bottle | Fraggle Rock Blanket | Wonder Woman Lasso Stump | Aquaman Vinyl SODA |
One of our favorite ways to wrap a cylindrical object as a gift is to make it look like a piece of candy! Water bottles and blankets are very common cylindrical gifts. Grab your present and start measuring with wrapping paper, leaving extra material at the top and bottom. Fold the top and bottom of the wrapping paper over, and make small slits along the crease. Grab a sheet of tissue paper (or a few!) and wrap the cylinder, securing it with tape. If you are feeling fancy, you can cut a design on the top and bottom of the tissue paper, such as a repeating triangle edge. Finally, tape the wrapping paper around the gift and secure both ends with ribbon or twine to get a beautifully wrapped cylinder.
How to Wrap a Ball (or Circular Object) with Wrapping Paper
Death Star Ball Bearing Maze | Loungefly Golden Snitch Purse | Winnie the Pooh Cookie Jar | Loungefly Death Star Purse |
It is easy to throw a ball or round gift in a bag and cover it up with some tissue paper, but how do you wrap a circular gift with wrapping paper? Mugs and bowls with circular bottles really can give you grief! After much trial and error, we finally found the perfect method! Start by measuring your paper to your ball by wrapping it all the way around and cutting it. Then, cut your wrapping paper into eight equal strips. Start taping each strip around the ball, covering the entire surface area. Top it off with a cute bow, and you have a perfectly wrapped circular object for any occasion.

Regarding gifts, socks may seem like a plain bagel in a box of donuts! So, the least you can do is make them fun to open. Let's make sock cupcakes! Grab a large decorative box, cupcake holders, and a few green and red pipe cleaners. It sounds strange, but hear us out! You take your socks and fold them the long way, roll them up, and place them in the cupcake holders. Top them off with some pipe cleaner cherries, and you have a box full of sock cakes!
