On a Wing and a Prayer
Stopping in for a bite to eat a local diner, Nightwing set his batons on the table beside him so that he could be ready for action at a moment’s notice. When the waitress came over, he ordered himself a nice bowl of chili and started making his plans for the following day.
Suddenly, a cackle from the far side of the diner drew his attention! The Joker was there, setting down his newspaper which he had apparently been laughing at hysterically. Their eyes met. Tension rose in the diner. The other patrons ran out as they stared at one another. Finally, the waitress returned with the chili. Looking at one another, they came to a mutual agreement that they would fight later. You don’t interrupt a man who just got his chili!
