Many of us spend the majority of our computer time playing games. This may not be the most productive way to spend our time, but with the recent release of several addicting computer games, it's understandable. For those who aren't yet addicts but are still looking to waste some time, consider trying out one of the following games.
The Sims 3: Pets
"The Sims 3" alone intruded a completely new way of playing by adding towns, cities and worlds that your Sim could explore. This means that your Sim no longer had to wait around at home, but could go out grocery shopping, play at the park, or simply go for a walk without being limited to your home. With the introduction of "Pets," however, this feature is nothing short of amazing. Now when your Sim leaves the house, they can encounter stray dogs and cats as well as several other life like objects, such as an ice cream truck. If your Sim really wants a challenge, try taming a wild horse or finding a unicorn. Beware, however, as not all pets are as nice as they seem.
PotterMore
PotterMore is an online computer game that is an expansion of the "Harry Potter" series. Upon signing up for the website, players can reread the story and locate hidden items. The fun really starts when the player enters HogWarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Players will be sorted then sent off to their very first classes which are a challenge in their own. Be sure to pay attention in Potion Class or you may blow up your cauldron!
Rage
"Rage" is a first person shooter game that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world due to the impact of the asteroid 99942 Apophis, which does indeed have a small chance of hitting the Earth. Never the less, there are a few survivors as well as mutants. The player must fight for survival in this new world, which can be done by customizing your weapon as well as your racing unit. Racing is an important part of the game as the racetracks are one of the few places habitable for human life. Just be sure not to let the mutants or bandits get too close or it's game over.
